Minor: On the bank holiday weekend we played Kilglass Gaels in Ballyleague. Despite terrible weather conditions, the girls won the game by 19 points. It was a great team performance. The next round was played on the Bank Holiday against St.Brigids away and also won this game by 12points. The girls then played Clan NaGael last Saturday in Monksland and won on a scoreline of 0-21 to 3-5. They have now qualified for the semi finals of the Div1 A Champioship but now have to wait for play offs to take place before they know there opponents.

U14's win Final!18/10/09
U14: On Saturday the 10th of October our U14 girls were victorious over Four Roads in the U14 Div. 1B Final. The game was played in Knockcroghery and the girls won by four points on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-7. This was a great team performance and when the pressure came on the girls really stood up to it. The team was Aisling Hanley, Grainne Geoghan, Kirsty McKay, Deirdre Convey, Aoife Shiel, Colleen Cosgrove, Jill Mulloolly, Lorna Flanagan, Michelle Mulloolly, Ruta Sumskaite, Triona Kelly, Siofra Tiernan, Linda Gunn, Aishling MacAuliffe(Capt.), Elanor Hanley, Mary McDermott, Mikeala O`Rourke, Sarah Madden, Sophia Greene, Colleen Cauneen and Judy McDermott. Well Done to Peter Hanley, Pat Cosgove, Diane Mulloolly and Meave Hanley for all their hard work and effort. Also thanks to The Silver Eel who provided the girls with a lovely meal afterwards.
Minor: The minor girls played against Western Gaels last Sunday the 11th. It was a very fast and exciting game and they won on a scoreline of 4-8 to 4-7. They had no match this weekend but will play Kilglass next Saturday and St.Brigids next Monday. See fixtures for details.
Second Team: The second team played Padraig Pearses last Friday evening in the semi final. Unfortunately the girls lost and are now out of the competition. The game ended n a scoreline of 3-7 to 0-6. Well done to all who took part in this competition, hope to see everyone again next year!

Minor girls win 4/10/09
Minor: The minor girls had a great win over near neighbours St.Marys last Sunday. They won on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-04. The girls will now play Western Gaels next weekend, see fixtures for details.

Junior fixture. 20/09/09
U14: The U14`s played Castlerea last Sunday evening at home. The score was 4-4 to Strokestowns 1-4.
Junior: Unfortunately we are still awaiting the fixture for the Champioship final.

Junior Final! 13/09/09
U14: The U14`s played St.Croans last Sunday evening away. The girls played very well and the game ended in a draw. The score was 2-6 to Strokestowns 0-12 points. Scorers were Aisling McAuliffe(0-2), Aisling Hanly(0-5), Lorna Flanagan(0-4), and TrĂona Kelly(0-1). The girls will now play Castlerea next Sunday evening at 6.30pm at home.
Junior: The Junior team are now in the final against neighbours, St.Barrys. It will be played this weekend, see fixtures for details. Fixture still to be Finalised.

U14: The U14`s played St.Brigids last Sunday evening and won the game very well on a scoreline of 8-6 to 1-2.
Junior: The Juniors played St Faithleachs last Sunday in terrible conditions in Tarmonbarry and won the game very convincingly. They now go on to play St.Barrys or St.Marys in the final. There is training this evening, Tuesday at 7pm.

Junior win! 30/08/09
Junior: Strokestown played St.Faithleachs on friday the 21st of August. The girls won on a scoreline of 3-12 to 5-03. Scorers: Feena Beirne [0.2], Bronagh McHugh [0.4], Niamh McHugh [3.5], Laura Casey [0.1]. Strokestown then played St Barrys last wednesday the 26th of August. The girls also won this match on a scoreline of 2.15 to 1.05. Scorers: Sarah Brudell [1.1], Bronagh McHugh [0.2], Niamh McHugh [0.5], Laura Casey [0.1], Catherine Hagan [0.1], Laura Brudell [1.5]. The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Niamh McHugh who got injured in the last match. The semi finals are fixed for next weekend the 5th/6th of september
U14: The U14`s played Padraig Pearses last Sunday at home but lost out narrowly by a point.
Second Team: Our second team also played Pearses and were beaten but are now in a semi final. Date and time yet to be finalised.

U14: Our U14's lost out to St.Ciarans in the first round of their championship last Sunday on a scoreline of 4-6 to 1-6. They will now play Four Roads next Sunday in Strokestown at 7pm. Training Wednesday evening at 7pm.
Junior: Our Junior girls also played last Sunday, winning against St.Croans.

Club Meeting: There will be a club meeting this Thursday, the 13th of August at 9.30pm in the Percy. All members please attend.
Hard luck: Hard luck to Laura Brudell, Cait Mullooly, Katie McLoughlin, Ellen Beirne, Brona McHugh and Dick Togher who lost out to Tipperary in the U16 B All Ireland Final lastweekend.
Presentation Night: A presentation evening for the Junior team will take place this Friday the 14th of August.
Thanks: After the last County Board Meeting, all clubs were thanked for working patiently with county team managers and for the giving of their players. We are one of the best represented clubs at county level with 14 players playing that level.
