U12 Championship: Strokestown v Eire Og 21/08/08

Our u12's had their first league match on Thursday last against Eire Og in Loughlynn. With an under strength team we were 3-4 to 1-0 down at half time but a vastly improved second half performance saw a final score line of Eire Og 4-4 Strokestown 3-4. This was the first competitive match for some of our younger players and saw great performances from Clare Brogan,Caithlin Flanagan,Caroline Beirne, Shauna Mullen, Rebecca Lee and Mikella O Rourke in their 1st match. Scorers Ashling Hanley 1-1, Jill Mullolly 2-0, Triona Kelly 0-2 and Elanor Hanley 0-1.

Junior B Championship: Strokestown v St.Barrys 24/08/08

Sundays game v St. barrys ended Strokestown 4.17 to St. Barrys 1.7. Scorers; Niamh Mc Hugh 1.8, Laura Brudell 1.2, Katie McLoughlin 1.01, Sarah Brudell 0.3, Anne marie Collins 1.0, Edwina Nelson 0.2 and Morgan Carlos 0.1. Our next game is on Sunday Week against Shannon Gaels.

U16 Championship: Strokestown v St. Ciarans

The U16s beat St. Ciarans convincingly last Tuesday, continuing their impressive Championship campaign with strong wins in all their games so far. Final Score Strokestown 8.19 to St. Ciarans no score.

The girls have a bye next week and will play Elphin the following week.

U16 Championship: Strokestown v Clann na Gael

Strokestown U 16s made it 2 out of 2 in the championship beating Clann na Gael with an impressive scoreline of 6 goals & 12 points to no score.
