Division 3 Ladies Football League Final - Strokestown v Shannon Gaels

Congratulations to Strokestown Junior ladies for an impressive victory over Shannon Gaels on Sunday last.
Strokestown started the strongest in the first half getting the 1st two scores onboard and were in control until Shannon Gaels went down the pitch and scored a well worked goal. Strokestown responded in the only way that they know and scored a finely worked goal themselves to keep the 2 point margin between the teams. The scores stayed much the same until half time when strokestown scored six points without reply to state their intent on this fine game of football.

At this stage Shannon Gaels never gave up and kept the fight up to Strokestown until a well worked goal that started in Strokestowns half back line ended up in Shannon Gaels net to finish off a great game of football and a well deserved victory for Strokestown.
